Hello lovelies,
I have been wanting to delve into individual colors for a couple years now, and what better time then the start of a new year. My goal is to try and link a specific color that seems most relatable to each month, so for January I chose white. To me it represents fresh starts, clean slates, a new page and a new perspective on things.
White / color psychology: clean, open, peaceful, honest, pure, innocent, forgiving, dreamy, simple, enlightening, aspirational, orderly, elevated, hygienic, lofty and expansive.
White has a modern, forward thinking feeling to it, having endless possibilities. It is simple, clean and unblemished. It opens up space and expands light.
Blanketed snow drifts, billowing puffy clouds, frothy sea foam, bell shaped lily of the valley, wafting cow parsley, drifting dandelion puffs, stunning crystal quartz, luminous mother of pearl and layered birch bark are just a few of natures glories showcasing the color white.
Each season has it’s own white, from winter with it’s more stark and cool tones (which would feel unwelcoming in any other season), to clear hints of sunshine, soft tones of off white and warmer creams and buttermilks.
Which are your favorites?
