Hello lovelies!
Moving on in the year, to the late winter month of February, let’s have another look at how color psychology relates to branding. Again, as with the other mood boards I have compiled, seasonal color psychology is the study of color and how it’s tones and traits are mirrored in nature and can be relatable to nearly every aspect of design, from interiors to fashion to branding.
This late winter month brings in the most neutral of palettes; the melting snow, the freezing drizzle, the soft low sunshine. The peculating thoughts of what is to come. It is the most expectant of months, looking back at what has been while being hopeful of what is to come.
Elements that relate to branding this month are still san serif fonts but with more rounded elements, clean lines but with a bit of movement, a much more monochromatic color palette, definitive typography spacing, slightly softer editorial styling with a hint of the optimism and the hope that spring is bringing.
If your business seems to resonate with these words and images, then this late winter vibe may be just the right fit for your brand identity. It is uncompromising, focused, precise, contemporary and minimal in a way no other month is.
