Moving on to the seventh installment in the ‘restorative spaces’ series, the newness of January greets us. It has all the elements of a ‘clean slate’ that we associate with the beginning of each new year.
As a reminder seasonal color psychology is the study of color and how it’s tones and traits are mirrored in nature and can be relatable to nearly every aspect of design .. design in nature, fashion, interiors, print, florals, art etc. Here is a peek at the January color psychology mood board if you would like to see it.
Regarding interiors for January; lines have become more straight, although perfect circles feature often as well. Color blocking is more evident, with fewer colors used at any one time. Pattern and texture is typically kept to a minimum and overall the look is far more minimal and chic. Every item is chosen with purpose and intention, nothing is busy or distracting.
