April sits at the heart of happy, the middle month of Spring. Joyous abundance colors everything this month represents. Like helium filled balloons, April reaches to the sky with optimism.
Seasonal color psychology is the study of color and how it’s tones and traits are mirrored in nature and can be relatable to nearly every aspect of design .. design in nature, fashion, interiors, print, florals, art etc. Here is the color psychology mood board for April, so you can see how they relate to each other.
April interiors could easily fill up with ‘all the things’. Inherently creative these interiors always include crafted, expressive touches. Natural wood tones rarely make an appearance as painted furniture lends itself to being more fun and uplifting. Shapes are rounded, informal, simple and unfussy. Visual interest gives those that love the April interior something to always look at and admire. Colors this month are the brightest of all the months and exude a happy, lively and friendly feeling. Stylized florals, stripes and fun prints all work well for this month. By being selective April interiors can be friendly spaces of enjoyment and connection.
