mid.winter – color psychology

Hello lovelies,

As some of you know I am utterly fascinated by color and more specifically color psychology as it relates to the seasons. I thought it would be very interesting to curate a moodboard for each month and follow the seasons. This is my compilation for ‘january’ .. which of course falls into winter.

Seasonal color psychology is the study of color and how it’s tones and traits are mirrored in nature and can be relatable to nearly every aspect of design .. design in nature, fashion, interiors, print, florals, art etc. it is an intensely fascinating subject to me and i have spent years studying many aspects of it.

With that, I wanted to share a bit more insight by adding a few winter attributes (in words) that I think are particularly fitting for January.

streamlined . modern  . cutting edge . minimal . precise . uncluttered . consistent . chic . stark . stylized

This moodboard and the nine images shown are on my Pinterest board ‘color psychology – january‘ .. please explore the pins further if you would like to.

I plan to continue this series monthly, please ask questions if you have them .. x
