color psychology

late.autumn – color psychology

Hello lovelies,

In my part of the world winter has come upon us fairly quickly. We have a fresh dusting of snow on the ground at present and the temperatures are dipping.

And in that context let me share the moodboard for November. It is a clear combination of the cozy depth we feel in autumn but is moving toward the more barren, clean and geometric feel of winter. I think the ‘november look’ is very popular everywhere at the moment; from fashion and interiors to graphics and mindset. You can see it here on instagram and catch up with the past ten months here ..  januaryfebruarymarchaprilmayjunejulyaugustseptember and october.

Seasonal color psychology is the study of color and how it’s tones and traits are mirrored in nature and can be relatable to nearly every aspect of design .. design in nature, fashion, interiors, print, florals, art etc.

As is tradition, I am including words I think are best suited to this month and bridge the autumn-winter gap ..

authentic . efficient . focused . historic . practical . strong . substantial . angular . independant . rustic . grounded

This moodboard and the nine images shown are on my Pinterest board ‘colour psychology – november’ .. please explore the pins further if you would like to.
