and here we are with month three in my series of seasonal mood boards .. march marks the beginning of ‘spring’ and a distinct shift in feel .. as shared on instagram. here are january and february if you would like a quick recap ..
seasonal color psychology is the study of color and how it’s tones and traits are mirrored in nature and can be relatable to nearly every aspect of design .. design in nature, fashion, interiors, print, florals, art etc.
whilst january and february have connected traits of appearing rather cool and minimal, march warms up and adds a more whimsical note, yet is still grounded somewhat in the simplicity of winter.
again, i would like to give a bit more insight to these qualities by adding spring attributes (in words) that i think are particularly fitting for this month.
simple . casual . informal . youthful . warm . naive . playful . hand crafted . animated
do you see how these words and images touch on winter, but are warmer and more tactile?
this moodboard and the nine images shown are on my pinterest board ‘color psychology – march’ .. please explore the pins further if you would like to.
